Invite workspace members

Access is managed at the workspace level. Kyno does not offer separate per-application invitations: a workspace member can see the apps allowed by their role.

Owners and admins invite people from People in the Kyno console. The recipient receives an email link. If they do not have a Kyno account, the link keeps its destination while they create and verify one. Kyno then accepts the invitation and opens the workspace automatically.

New invitations join with the User role. An owner or admin can change the role afterward.

Role Access
Owner Superadmin access, including every workspace, member, app, settings, and billing control.
Admin Manage non-admin members and roles, deploy and operate apps, and manage workspace settings. Cannot demote or remove an Admin.
Editor View, deploy, and redeploy every app and inspect logs. Cannot change runtime controls, environment, secrets, or workspace members.
User View the app list and open workspace apps. Cannot deploy or change apps or members.

An owner or admin can remove a non-owner from People, except that only the Owner can demote or remove an Admin. Removal immediately revokes their workspace membership and any app sessions Kyno issued for that email. The freed seat can be reused for a different person.

A non-owner can leave from People. They lose the shared workspace’s apps and paid-plan capacity and continue in a personal Free workspace.

On Free, a workspace can have two invited members at once, in addition to its owner. This is a concurrent seat limit, not a lifetime invitation limit.
